How to use Google Docs
After you start the application, you have to login to your Google account. After that, you can work. At the top left corner you can find the main menu button. Tap on it, and then select the “Recent” section. You will see all the files that you have opened recently. If you want to create a new file, tap on the + icon, which you can find at the bottom right corner. You can also choose the template there. If you want to open new files from Google Drive or your device storage, tap on the “Folder” icon; it is at the top right corner. There is a “Search” button located next to it. It helps you to search for documents.
You can also see files that were shared with you. To do that, tap the menu button and select “Shared with me”. You can also add documents to the “Starred” section. This is a useful feature because it helps you to swiftly open the most important files for you. Users can also use Google Docs offline. To do that, you need to download files, but usually, the app does that automatically. After that, go to the “Offline files” section in order to open them. If you delete certain documents, they will be transferred to the “Bin” section. You can find this section in the “Main menu”. The app is free to download and there are no in-app purchases.
